PigskinPal (“we”) is a free fantasy football companion site at pigskinpal.app. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
- Account (optional). If you create an account: a username and your password, which we store only as a one-way scrambled hash we can’t read. We don’t ask for your name or email.
- Teams you follow. The fantasy league and team IDs you choose to follow, saved to your account or, without one, in a cookie on your device.
- ESPN connection (optional). If you choose Connect ESPN, the sign-in codes ESPN gave your browser (espn_s2 and SWID), stored encrypted on your account. We use them only to read your own ESPN fantasy leagues. We never see your ESPN password. Disconnect any time to delete them.
- Basic technical data. Like nearly every website, our host receives your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, for security and to keep the site running.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your personal information.
- We don’t collect your email, phone number, payment details or precise location.
- We don’t post or change anything in your fantasy leagues; we only read them.
Cookies
We use a few cookies the site needs to work:
- a sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in;
- a cookie listing the teams you follow when you don’t have an account;
- short-lived cookies that keep pages loading quickly.
Advertising
We may show ads to keep PigskinPal free. If we do, third-party vendors including Google use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads based on those visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. Visitors in the EU, UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent before any advertising cookies are used.
Who processes data for us
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Supabase stores accounts, followed teams and encrypted ESPN connections.
- To show your leagues and stats, our servers request public data from Sleeper, ESPN and Wikipedia. We don’t send them your personal information, except that a connected ESPN sign-in is sent to ESPN to read your own leagues.
Keeping and deleting your data
You can unfollow teams and disconnect ESPN at any time, which deletes that data. To delete your account entirely, contact us and we’ll remove it and everything tied to it.
Children
PigskinPal isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
